Tasting notes: Lovely intense ruby red enhanced by a tinge of Tyrian purple. Rich aromas, intense and elegant, range from blackberries towards the spiciness of pipe tobacco sweetness and cocoa powder to finish up with a whiff of the earthiness of clay. The palate is rewarded with a powerful velvet tannin caress that yields little by little to the flavor and the harmonious heat of the alcohol that only grapes grown basking in the sun on the Island of Vulcano can boast about.
